  • Thanks all. Yes i will talk to Debt Doctor. Ive just had enough. It makes no sence to me.
  • I will post what they have asked me to pay and my outgoings tomorrow. The fact i will be tied in for three years scares me too. All our furnitures a council package, we've not got carpets in the kids bedrooms or my room etc hell even the iron belongs to the council! The way we fled and had nothing was awful. This three year thing means no way to move on or better ourselves. Its totally floored me.
    Thanks

.............................in which case, that alone will constitute an expenditure [for a reasonable standard of living], ....so already your surplus income [which I don't believe you have anyway] has gone down.

Remember, the OR has to allow a reasonable living standard. Since you literally have nothing....and it is reasonable to expect you to have what are, today, considered 'basics', then your argument improves minute by minute.

Being BR is not a punishment.
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

Hi, thanks for your PM, I have replied and provided you an email address. Please email any information received from the Insolvency Service to me.
Whilst there are no guarantees, you have already provided me with an enormous amount of background information to do battle with on your behalf.
    Enjoy your day.

  • Have sent an emai to DD. Thanks all and i'll let you know how it goes x
  • Thought i would update everyone on what has happened.
GREAT NEWS - they have decided to back off and not put in place an IPA and its all thanks to Debt Doctor.
He had been absolutely fantastic. He listened to all that had happened, and gave the best àdvice.
He drafted letters for me to send to them that were worded better than i ever could have. He used figures i had collected to prove we needed the money for other things as our situation isnt your average one. His emails were supportive and kind.
His help means more to me and my children than i can ever explain. Over the three years they would have taken around £3500. We need more than that to buy/furnish our home with normal everyday items. We no longer have to worry that our lives will be on hold with no way to move forward. I owe him more than i can ever repay. With everything we have been through, it was unreal to have such honnest, real support.
It feels weird trusting someone via the internet at first...i mean...are they real?...is this a crank?....but this man in my book is incredibly special. Hes used his spare time to help me asking nothing in return. He is the real deal and a force to be reconed with!!
I hate to think where we would be without his help. A million thank yous are not enough.
To anyone...fight for what you believe is right. Dont give up. And good luck.
And to everyone on this site who helped thankyou xx
And to Debt Doctor i will never forget your help. Thank you so very very much xxx

Hi, Thanks for your very kind words. My reward is seeing the difference my work makes to those who seek it, and that I can use my experience to 'level the playing field' for those taking on the Insolvency Service.

In your case I am pleased that you feel you can move forward after a very difficult time. Yours was such a grossly unfair situation. To try to take money from someone on income based JSA demonstrates how the IS have completely lost touch with the Insolvency Act 1986 and any sense of fairness and reasonableness.

You were a particular pleasure to work on behalf of, my very best wishes to you and your children.
