    The service is poor across the market because the prices are pushed so low.


    Our OP should note that contesting the position when a final bill is received is not an option as solicitors will not complete until they have the money for their bill in their account.

    Why did you appoint a solicitor that was so far away?
  • The estate agent recommended them and the house I'm buying is in Norwich. The only time they'll need my original signature is on the contract in which case I can stay with friends. Norwich solicitors tend to have lower time recording costs than South London

    No need to stay with friends. It can be done by snail mail.
