Lender requesting two 'Proof of Address' documents

Hi there,
My partner and I have recently applied for a mortgage with Aldermore due to some issues with our credit history. Everything has been going swimmingly and the valuation was carried out at the end of last week.
Yesterday, our broker mentioned that Aldermore are requesting two proof of address documents from my partner. I thought this was a little odd as we've already sent them a Credit Card statement, and that they're not requesting two documents from myself. Either way, we sent her driving license across today.
Any ideas why they would request two PoA documents?
Thanks.

Hi Binky,
I'm also in the process of getting a mortgage through aldermore and also I'm not registered at new address on the electoral roll however my broker said this should be ok as long as I have other proofs of id.
Could you tell me how long the process has been with aldermore?
Also do they do valuation before the full application?how long has this taken
I'm a new first time buyer so very stressed at the minute
Sorry for all the questions but you seem the only recent person to be going through a mortgage0 -
Aldermore are picky and tricky to deal with. Applicants will get there in the end but it can be painful and the broker should be managing your case.I am a Mortgage Broker
