Has anyone had any dealings with Solex? They're the Solictiors the Lloyds use. They are handling the transfer of equity on the joint mortgage I have with my ex. I need to be off my mortgage by the end of September as I am due to complete on a house using Help to Buy and they have taken four weeks to send out the Instruction documents to her. Which worries me as they still need to send a document for me to sign and do searches on the property.

I did advise her to use a local solicitor as they would have a lower caseload and be quicker.

Are the house builders likely to be ok if there is a delay? I have exchanged contracts so I'm legally bound to buy the house.

Did your solicitor not advise you not to exchange until you were ready to proceed...?

The mortgage advisor in the bank said the process would take eight weeks and that was in June. I'm just miffed at the delays. Four weeks to send out a letter seems excessive.

I get on ok with my ex so I'm hoping she can push it through.


Solicitor was happy for us to exchange as my ex had received her mortgage offer and we were just waiting on paperwork.
