Will Halifax e-mail my broker when mortgage offered?

Hi all,

When Halifax have approved my mortgage, will they e-mail or call my broker to let him know? Or does my broker have to wait for a letter through the post or chase Halifax up after the valuation?

Thanks

We get an email which says;-
We are pleased to confirm we have made a mortgage offer to XXXXXX.

The Offer Document is now available for you to view or print.

The property for the above mortgage application has been valued at £YY,YYY.

The mortgage offer has been sent to your client(s) and the conveyancer.

We will contact you again when we receive confirmation of your client's completion date from the conveyancer.

then we send an email to our client which says;-
    Hi,

Just a quick note to confirm the issue of your mortgage offer today.

The offer will be mailed out to you and your solicitor, taking a few days to arrive. Please check it on arrival and if you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

    Thanks,

    Ian

  • Thanks Kings street. I guess we are better off waiting for that e-mail rather than chasing halifax up.
