Letter from Employer / Maintenance Letter

I have been told they will not accept a letter of "reference" from my employer confirming that my salary from next month. The letter has to be addressed to me.
I was just wondering if a similar thing applies to the letter they require from my ex confirming maintenance. Is it to be addressed to Nationwide or to me?

It can vary from lender to lender. I have known it to vary from underwriter to underwriter at 1 lender so I would go off what they tell you rather than the internet but who is the lender?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Nationwide accepting a letter to confirm maintenance?
Since when?Maintenance**
A copy of the maintenance agreement, received under a Court Order, a CSA assessment or a written private agreement drawn up between the separating parties and
Six months bank statements^ as evidence of payment.
Note: We will not accept payments that have not been received satisfactorily for at least six months (and at the current level for the last three months). A written private agreement will need to include, the amount paid each month, to whom the payments are made, the name of the child/children the agreement relates to, and the period the maintenance will be paid for.I am a mortgage broker. That's what they have said they will accept. It is a private agreement, not through CSA and they can see on my bank statements (I also bank with Nationwide) that he has paid it into my bank account for the last four years.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Sounds like they want a letter which confirms the details like the agreement would and they are backing that with six months' evidence of payment.I am a mortgage broker. Managed to get through to them. It doesn't have to be addressed to me like my employer letter. Just didn't want to get my ex to write a letter to Nationwide, only for them to turn around and not accept it as they need it to be to me. It was easy getting my employer to make the change, but my ex is not as accommodating!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
