So good to hear you describe your new boss as 'fab'. That must validate the job change hugely. As well as being told such lovely truths about your impact on the pupils.

    Take care x

That's *very* good feedback already from your boss, brilliant stuff.

SHS, with the pain that you're in, I keep thinking of the stress the rest of your muscles are under, compensating for it - you'll probably be doing it unconsciously, but I bet its happening :( I'm thinking massage, self-massage, not of the painful site, of course, but the bits of you that are compensating - if the pain is in your hip, maybe your calf muscle, things like that?

    Brilliant feedback, shs!:T

Agree with Kc re compensating muscles - which, unfortunately, can bring about their own pain as a result of not working 'normally'/ how they 'should' - massage is usually a great thing for this as often the problem is 'just' tightness. Even your shoulders, upper arms and upper back (so shoulder blades down to bra-line/ just below) can benefit, as you are potentially carrying yourself in a non-relaxed way with the sciatica.

Really hope you can get some relief soon - sciatica is a b***er :( :grouphug:

  • Thanks. I am getting annoyed with myself at being unproductive.
  • If you're a flitter then I am (2 years, 4 years, 1 year - FTC, 1 year, 4 years, 2 years) so I'm going to say definitely not.

With KC on the compensating muscles. I've pulled something in my chest and OH is clearing knots in my neck on a daily basis. In someway the pain can be worse in the compensating muscles which is utterly unfair.

    Feel better soon. :(
  • Pain subdued in leg now having travelled from back.
Now I have a vicious head cold. I feel so I'll and also like the worst kind of hypochondriac/winter.

Depressed and exhausted. Consequently weight and finances have been heading in the wrong direction.

    Aarrgghhh.

Erm ... tell me again :grouphug:

And a head cold too? Not hypochondria, SHS, no way! And your new eating plan ... well, it's more or less impossible for it to work with your current stresses. Be kind to yourself! With feeling so ill, and it being so cold, then honestly, I'd say, drop the dieting/food plan - concentrate on other aspects of eating, like nutrition? RT told me about an Indian herb called ashwaganda ... and hydration too.
