  • Sorry. I am more than usually monosyllabic.

Party ran smoothly because it was at soft play. Bliss not to have to clear up. I don't know if it is peculiar to Devon but people usually don't seem to want to RSVP to kids parties.

I spent yesterday resting and sleeping since the kids were off gallivanting. I have to be more productive today.

Nope - RSVP-ing is sadly lacking here in Glos, too. Putting my mobile number on invitations gets a better response - people can text at random times - but there are inevitably a couple or so (depending upon how many were originally invited) which always need chasing up... :(

  • I wonder how often it is because the invitation in languishing in the child's tray.

If I have the parent's number I will text to say an invitation is on its way.

When I organise a birthday party for my son, I don't sent invitations. The party is always small and if my son wishes to invite a child we don't know, the unknown child will have to come to the house for dinner in advance of the party.

    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500
  • That's brill Alex. I am never at the school gate though and messages sent through my parents (who are there in my place) are somewhat...um...variable.

An example of this is my Mum telling me I would have to change the date of the party since there were two others on the same day. Neither materialised!
  • Tidy up day today since the agent is coming to re take some of her terribly dark photos.

It is so ineffably frustrating to not have any viewings.
  • Tidying done. When I write my memoirs (diaries of a full time working mother of three) I am going to call them
"How the hell did you get toothpaste THERE?".

I also (while understanding why there is a yellow stain around the base of the loo) am concerned to have NO IDEA why there is also one around the base of the sink.?!
