    If it wasn't for work/parents evening, you could just go on the excuse of information gathering and see how everyone else does it? I wouldn't dare do that though as I'd almost certainly end up buying some poor unwanted pony, or feeling sad because I couldn't buy some poor unwanted pony!

    Really think this having to work / teachers and parents evening thing is a bit of a feeble excuse :)
    Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

    In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • Everest thing sounds very annoying. It is the sort of thing that would drive me crazy.
    Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
    Still thrifty though, after all these years:D
