    Empty your inbox lady! :D

As I understand it... Crofting is a unique type of agricultural tenure where your activities will be monitored and approved to a certain extent by the Crofters Commission. Decrofting is when land is split from a working croft so that this scrutiny no longer applies as the land will no longer be croft land, but just a piece of land that happens to be near what remains of a croft!
  • Hoping for a speedy recovery, I thought it was cold too, glad I wasn't the only one!
  • I guess that's cool then Ed. I was a bit worried it was a hideous imposition on the native working folk like the Enclosures act.

Thanks Elephant. I have had to have the day off with her. Normally I would dump her with the 'rents but they have guests.

Nothing like that, I believe it's typically treated as one of the few ways for crofters to get their hands on a decent sum of capital relatively passively (the life of a crofter looks like damn hard work)!
  • DH says he doesn't think the children will agree to a croft in Scotland. I wasn't going to ask them, frankly!

Going to do some decluttering this morning and the Plops might get a day off since DD1 is in bed feeling yuck.

We dropped our house price by 10k and nothing more to be done but wait and carry on tarting it up.
  • I have taken before pics so I can put them on my somewhat neglected blog.
Stuffed two kongs and sent 1 bag of carp to the chazza.
