There seems to be a feeling that this is no longer needed but I wonder if it is still useful as a focus for any offers/questions/comments.

Hi Redagila,

Thanks for keeping this going (and, especially, thanks to you too Doc N :T). I'd miss the newspaper thread if it were to be ditched altogether but admittedly there are few noteworthy offers in the papers these days. What about having a weekly thread instead e.g. "week commencing Sunday 9th Aug" and we could post any new offers in it throughout the week? Would save some poor soul having to start a new thread every day.


In the meantime, on with the offers!

Sunday Telegraph today, 9th Aug, has a voucher on page 29 for a free pair of £5.99 gardening gloves at Homebase. The voucher also offers £5 off £20 on gardening products but you can get the gloves without having to buy anything. Valid instore only until close of business on Mon 10th Aug, while stocks last.

I had thought about a weekly one but decided it would probably get lost down the other posts as the week went on.


It only takes about 2 minutes to do a new link with the minimum information I have put on here. It really could be done by whoever is the first person online each day.


I am happy to do it, if it is wanted, but need the feedback to confirm people do want it.

If your link is for that days' papers only, perhaps the mods can put the link above as a sticky and save anyone the hassle of feeling responsible for getting up early to post it.

Yes, let's try to keep it going. I'd miss it if it stopped.

Sometimes there is an offer going, like with the Telegraph gardening offers. I never buy that paper and without someone pointing it out, I'd miss it.

Thanks, guys - happy to do it on an occasional basis if I happen to be up, but don't want to tread on anyone else's toes either. And not too keen on getting locked into it!

So there is some sort of need for it, still? I rather thought it had become superfluous.
