Natwest Remortgage query

Hi Guys, hopefully someone can help me.
I am currently in the process of a Natwest remortgage. AIP went through two weeks ago. The Underwriters asked for bank statements and quotes from Builders for home improvements. I sent these on monday. had an update on Thursday they wanted confirmation we are remaining in the house during works, I confirmed we are, also wanted the original Authority to proceed from First Buy (House was originally brought with first buy, part of remotgage is to buy out there shares). They told the broker once this is processed they will go to offer.
Also i have recieved and returned all of the solicitors paperwork, sols also confirmed they have mortgage deed from current lender and redemption figures also recieved redemption figures from First Buy. They are also doing transfer of equity and again all paperwork signed and returned. and mortgage deed signed witnessed and returned.
I am wondereing if this process is normal? there has not been any mention of a valuation yet all this sols work has been carried out?
Is it possible that they have done a desktop valuation and are happy with that ?
Wonder if anyone has had a similar experience who may enlighten me 😀😀

Its possible that they could've done a desktop or curbside valuation where do don't view the property from inside since its a remortgage.
Why not ask your broker to find out from Natwest?0 -
Thanks for the reply, I will ask on Monday Im just a bit impatient and wondered if anyone on here had experience of the process.
And it only really occurred to me this morning! The underwriters said they needed the two previous mention items so they can "proceed to offer" no mention of a valuation0 -
Just thought I would update this, in case this answers anyone else's questions in the future.
Yesterday I received confirmation that the case has been agreed subject to valuation. About an hour later I was contacted by the valuer who arranged to visit this morning.
The valuation has been carried out and they will pass paperwork to NatWest this afternoon.
I am very impressed about how quick they are acting.0
