Halifax Underwriters / Homebuyers Survey

So my homebuyers is booked for Tuesday, £500 taken from my account.
The problem is that Halifax underwriters have asked for further documents (2012 accounts and 2015 business bank statements)
On top of this my mortgage broker took today off so although I supplied these documents to her today they won't reach the Halifax until Monday.
Should I be postponing the survey until I get the all clear from the Halifax to proceed? I'd hate to spend over £500 when if they were never going to offer me a mortgage anyway.

We are in the same boat, just had a letter from connells saying we needed towing to go ahead with the full homebuyer report. Been over a week wince our application went in, halifax do a valuation and survey I believe before offer so if they don't do the valuation then you won't get an offer anyway.0

Yes I beleive they do. Only the valuation is needed to get an offer though, not the more expensive homebuyers which is an extra £500 that could be saved if they were going to decline an offer on affordability anyway. Frustrating.:beer:0 -
