About time all the lazy school workers got back to earning instead of sitting on there bums picking up free money from the tax payer- teachers should have 4 weeks a year like the rest of us and give the kids extra help the other weeks when they are not at school. Or give free adult education courses during the day to improve the job prospects off the unemployed. No job needs that amount of time on holiday.
Ouch! That came out of the blue. Are you not having a good day today?
That was the deal they signed up to when they chose teaching. The work, the pay, the holidays....I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I used to think that schools were empty over the holidays until we started doing some work for a local (private) school. It is so busy, with everyone getting stuff done that they can't get done when the kids are around (including us, have you ever tried putting in an overhead line with kids trying to help lol). I now know how much the teachers and caretakers do over the holidays :eek:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
