Pretty quiet this end. I've baked a few cakes and planning a few more. About to make a tray bake as I'm craving a sponge cake covered in jam and coconut. Other than that quietly crocheting to fill the time before work next week. How's you?
What work you got lined up? Hope it's fulfilling (financially and spiritually).'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

hornetgirl wrote: »Hope you have a lovely holiday Sarah. If your phone is on the Three network you can, as SSM, mentioned, use it in various foreign countries just as if you were at home. Spain is one of the included countries but it would be worth checking whether that extends to Fuerteventura. If not Three, you definitely need to switch off data roaming. Belt and braces approach is to put the phone into flight mode and leave it there but just switch wifi back on (I don't know whether you can do this with an HTC but you definitely can with an iPhone).vanilla_twist wrote: »Just make sure you turn off data roaming so you don't pick up Spanish phone providers. Think you should be able to get the hotel wifi without turning it back on. When I am away I keep data roaming turned off and just turn back when I need to use it. think on I phone you have to turn back on to use hotel wifi so make sure you turn it back off every time. Whatsapp needs wifi to work but you might find you can receive text for free and send using your phone package.

Data roaming only applies to the data allowance provided by your network. If you turn it on, then you will be using your data allowance, and will be charged accordingly.
Thanks for the replies.
Hope you all get some good glitches, see you in 2 weeks. :j:j0 -

Thanks. Last time I was away (Cape Verde) I kept phone turned off and only turned on to use hotel wifi. People's kids were moaning that wifi wasn't fast enough to play games:eek: at the airport the people on EE turned their phones on and had a message to say 7 days data was £140:eek:
Always very careful when abroad.
