Is my champion bird spotter WMC around?

Spotted a pretty little thing tonight. Black. About the size of a thrush but slimmer, sleeker with a smaller head. Bright red beak and a little white squiggle marking on its lower body. Seen it two days in a row in exactly the same place. Any ideas what it is?

Also, the discussion we had the other day about pheasants dicing with death near the side of the road......well today.....there was a mama pheasant with her little brood messing about near the side of the road. Acres of fields either side of the road as far as the eye could see....and yet mama brings them to the road

Thank you, that's reassuring.

Want to scream, had to call out nurse this evening. Bag leakage yet again! Was changed this afternoon. Clearly my talking through instructions from stoma nurse weren't good enough and something wasn't done quite right. Let's hope evening nurse has done a better job or I'm going to have a soggy night.
