    Dr phoned.

Normal iron level is around 12-15.

    Mine is 8. :o

7 is the level they consider a transfusion at, so not quite there. No wonder I've been so exhausted.

She is prescribing me high strength pills, let's hope they do the job. :)

    Justmaz, sorry about your mum.

Well it will certainly make a difference to your energy levels - just make sure you take plenty of Vitamin C either juice, fruit or supplements as it helps the body absorb the iron.

I have just been prescribed iron sulphate in a liquid form which I have to mix with Vitamin C in water. For the past few weeks I just felt I needed a siesta everyday even though I was sleeping
quite well at night. Iron levels low but nothing like yours!
  • Hi all,
I can confirm that the Bolognese Dr O DIDN'T compare for me three hours ago. N/a against all others, typically was the only one with promotional box in my A.

hope the tablets do the trick and you are feeling better soon xxx
hope you dont mind me butting in but maybe worth to get you on your feet quicker considering all else you are going through, asking if they can do an iron transfusion, saves having a blood transfusion , and works really quickly usualy couple of days, I have at least 2 a year and they work really well. and I am in and out in just over an hour xxxxx

A pic for you. DH is still madly photographing wildlife whenever he gets the chance. He saw this last night in the garden. It was almost dark, and he used a flash. didn't think it would come out, but it did.:D
