You are spot on miss C....there's loads of them up our back lane. I slow down to walking pace when I see one near the side of the road and then they just dive under the car wheels. Nightmare:eek:To do is to be. Rousseau

I'm usually jealous of all you green fingered, gardenny type folks and your fabulous hauls...but not today!
Today, we found a local fruit farm and went fruit picking with DD1 (I had DD2 in a sling)
It was a great afternoon and we hope to make it a family tradition. Just a shame we didn't know about it earlier in the seasonApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

Is anyone else suss about the number of dead badgers on the side if roads - do they all have a death wish?
Oh said the same thing recently we went along a stretch of road and saw 6 oin a few miles all the same side of the road at the edge.very very odd,queen_of_cheap wrote: »Almost as dumb as pheasants! Many a time we have been out on his bike and a pheasant comes out from the hedgerow
pheasants and motorbikes are clearly not made for each other. So many accidents caused by the pheasants
We have sevral shoots locally that breed pheasants. And sometimes its lethal.espeacily with motorbikes. Even cylclists have collided into them.
Though ds best mate loves it as he has harris hawks and ferrets and fills the freezer up. He can get 20 a day when they have a big shoot:rotfl:0 -

I've really concentrated on what I will use this year. So lots of onions and garlic, cut back on the beans because they're only liked by me and have totally given up on any sort of brassica.........I cannot find any way to keep those white butterflies off them. I was driving myself mad caterpillar hunting and making weird looking 'cages' out of old trampoline parts and netting:rotfl::rotfl:
I roasted my first beetroot the other week(when I was in jail ) I was very pleased. This was all my own work
grew everything except the feta and prosciutto0 -
