Morning All
Just back from A's to get some Lynx for DS - agree Dee Dee not such a great deal but he needs it and it stops him from using the lovely stuff DD got me in the States from Bath and Body.
Checked wine, toothpaste but only found the candles. So trying to do a CC for this afternoon but can't find them on the website. Can some kind soul paste me a link TIA
Also went to pick up the toothbrushes but forgot which ones are comparing £1 against £4 in A's cos can shove them in the order too!
Had to laugh asked for cashback at the till but was told that they had no money in the till - this was at 8.30am and they are a 24hr store!
Well it is glorious sunshine here - hope it is a Good Day for you all. x0 -

I'm sure my eagle eyes would have spotted it, as something like that 'just jumps from the page' for me:D. It's just obvious, stand out - a single letter wrong in a million character page:rotfl:. I don't know how I do... but I do!:D:D:T
:think:This sig. is very interesting:).
"Before you assume, learn the facts"
I do try to, although all of us have our innate biases that are sometimes impossible to get out of. I had a colleague at work once - he came into the room and said something like "I can't let you have that". It was clear he had made an assumption that wasn't right at all. I think everyone else gave him a bit of a strange look as none of us had asked for that. I never said that I wanted the thing in the first place, but obviously he made the assumption I had.
Before you judge, understand why
Yes, I do try to understand why - and boy do I understand why, in great, great detail, as I keep going round every avenue of possible thought of understanding the matter, in the greatest of depth, for hours on end for several days, and the problem is that my thoughts in such great depth upset me. The trouble is, if I judge something as "unacceptable", my understanding of why it was done starts upsetting me deeply, and only confirms my original judgement even more - it still doesn't make them acceptable! Grrrr...:rotfl:
Before you hurt someone, feel
Unfortunately, I feel their possibility of hurt even more deeply and therefore don't do the thing to hurt them - instead I'm now hurting. Unfortunately, I'm constantly thinking about not hurting others and end up not saying or doing anything at all as I fear I might hurt them. Then I get a complaint that I was ignoring them and hurt them by not doing anything:rotfl:.
(Nonetheless...at risk of causing offence:eek:, I'm going to speak my mind here and just say something - as I think things are almost always 'better out than in' - if you can't handle it, don't read it! - it's not meant in any bad way (come on, Savvy - get with and stop drawing attention...) this may seem initially harsh, but hear me out while I later clarify it: the thought is "but were you [the global "you", not meant personally] thinking about upsetting me before you wrote 'Before you hurt someone, feel'?" Because my feeling, that I might cause hurt, upsets me and therefore causes hurt to me so did anyone feel that before they wrote requiring me to feel before I hurt anyone? Hear me out because, in fact, you haven't upset me as was just speaking as a hypothetical, in that, in theory, it's possible that feeling someone's hurt could upset me - although, please do not worry because you have not in fact done so!:)
However, I think that I have missed the gist and that was not what was meant at all: it's simply a general thing about things about how others might feel before we go and hurt them.
Which, arguably, maybe I hadn't done so above if it has now upset you, although nonetheless I have clearly thought about this possibility in advance and tried to express it in a way to avoid misunderstanding and confusion/upset, but, sometimes, it's impossible not to upset someone (doesn't matter it right) however hard you try - sometimes I tend to think it's best to say things, even if they may appear (or appear to some) to be a little harsh - otherwise we are treading on eye-shells and don't know what to say in order to avoid upsetting someone and then things are never said at all and we never understand each other, or maybe sometimes things should not be said - although please be assured that's it's never my intention to come across as harsh, or even a little harsh, if it sounds harsh then it's been misunderstood and wasn't meant like that...but then that's my fault for not expressing it more properly... just be assured my intentions are always good and that I have thought about what I've said (and overthought about it).
I've no idea if what I say might upset people and how can I foresee, in advance, whether or not it may actually do so - how can I know what people's emotional reactions are going to be before anything has even been said (or, sometimes, even before I've omitted to say anything at all - didn't say anything as feared I would cause upset - then they were upset that I'd ignored them and said nothing (for fear for hurting them...)? It's asking me to foretell the future and to know people's emotions in advance. How can I predict how something is going to affect someone else (what reaction it is going to cause them)?
Of course I can foresee the types or sorts of things that might upset others and refrain from doing those (thus, arguably unacceptably, controlling my behaviour far more than actually necessary), and obviously if it was something you've done before that has upset someone, you don't do that again in their presence (or in any way that they might get to know about it or in which it might affect them), but I do think (and boy do I think) about not upsetting others - and do so obsessively - and I'm constantly trying to avoid it! Best I can do is to try not to upset others but, if I do, to apologise and not do that again. (Which I think is what others precisely fail to do, whenever I tell them that they have upset me. They fail to apologise, show no respect and continue to do whatever they were doing regardless. Grrr...totally unacceptable:mad::mad::rotfl: (sometimes you have to laugh it off). Don't worry - it's no-one on this thread.) Though I suspect it's easier for the vast majority of people as they can see other's emotions at the present state and can sometimes see other's emotions even before they happen. Then, it's different on the internet (non-webcam context at least), as no-one can "see" each other - so, you're then all the same as me in not being able to see the body language.
(Note: Savvy isn't upset, even if it may come across that way:rotfl::rotfl::D. Message to non-Asperger's people: There is no hidden meaning, so do not try to look for one! There isn't any.)
Before you speak, think.
(In the light of the above, the first five lines underneath "Before you hurt someone...") Oh dear:rotfl:. Indeed, this is the problem. Everything I say is thought about and considered in advance ("a careful consideration and what to say and how to say it"-Aspergerese, defined by Dr. Tony Attwood) and therefore there's no natural conversation at all. Perhaps a bit harder for me than the vast majority of people? Anyway, thanks for the sig. thoughts - very interesting.:)
I didn't intend to log in today as I only have a few hours with DH before I am off on my travels again. You all know how it is though, I just had to have a nosey and promised myself half an hour to have a quick skip, when I saw Savvybuyers take on my signature. How could I possibly take offence, you put things so wonderfully Savvy. What I will say is that the words took on a whole new meaning having read your post.
I chose those words when it was particularly 'challenging' on here and thought that it was quite appropriate at the time. Not now of course because it is very nice. Still missing people though, but hopefully they will return.
Honestly Savvy you have put me in a predicament.....to change my signature or not to change my signature, that is the question?
I have always loved your posts :T they are very thought provoking...

Morning everyone, sun is shining and I've got my bargain of the day down to soak, went to B&Q last night as my friend text me to say that turf was reduced to 50p a roll, DH took me in his van with 10 minutes to spare before store shut. So I ran in and payed for 10 rolls and came out with the receipt and told him to reverse the van up to the turf and take it. A manager came out to ask how many we had bought and I said 10, she said well if you can fit them all in take them they are getting written off tonight
we could only fit an extra 12 in but what a bargain. They are unrolled and soaking right now to bring them back to life again before getting laid. Simple things
