My youngest had a very bad habit of trying to maim and injure himself. Very early on we were at a caravan in North wales and he was sat on his potty, leapt up and thumped himself on the head so off we went to a strange A & E - I always made sure I knew where the nearest A & E was afterwards.
He also ran straight into a lamp post denting his forehead and also rang the length of the kitchen straight into the oven door that was open - again huge blue oblong bruise on his forehead and another letter explaining it all to take into school.
adventurous, always taking life at full pace, no brakes
and now - well I've just been talking to him on facetime and he has nearly read all of the 3 paperbacks he took out with him - sadly could not take any more with him because of weight limits. He wanted me to send out books but the postage would be huge.
so I've been researching second hand book shops in Hong Kong that sell books written in English and sending him the links, addresses and contact details so hopefully he can find something more to read
Just to add my mite. Once you download books onto the Kindle app on the iphone or ipad, you don't need wifi to read them. They are available as long as the charge holds.0 -

I don't like the manual ones either and some years ago bought a Kenwood electric one which plugs into the wall. It is brilliant and I don't know why I delayed getting it. The only problem is remembering to shove the detachable bits into the dishwasher but that's a me problem, not a tin-opener problem!0 -
Went to the tip today and I am emptying the car when I see a karcher power hose ...a very clean karcher in the box lid open handle and an extension cable all plastic bagged ...now my hose on mine is on its lasts legs ...so I ask the young lad can I buy it ...noo not allowed to sell any thing ...not giving in I ask if I can just have it to take away lol...no way not allowed ....grrr to the person who sent it there .... but also as I was driving through to the right tip bin ... I see different items standing next to bins ......of course they are not for sale ...yeah right ....this tip was council run for years has been put out to tender a couple of years ago and does not open late in summer or open at all on a Friday ..so ripped off twice with less service and and employee's that just stand by bins watching you struggle ...when it was council run you got help if you needed it

Been to the shops to get the last of our school bits today.
2 x pairs of shoes
2 x lunchboxes
And I'm about £100 lighter!
The two dresses I ordered from Dororthy Perkins don't fit very well so they will have to go back0
