eBay rarely give codes and when they do they are account specific.

Sorry it wasn't the answer you were looking for.

  • I think this is one of eBay's cons. There is no category called Electronics from what I can see. It's like they think that people will read into it what they want so they find something to purchase only to find that the code does not work....which it did not for me. If people spend time finding something that they want, in many cases they will purchase without the code or it has cost them time.

I wanted something in the computer section which technically is electronics but not according to eBay. Audio/Visual is electronics and that might be the category that is acceptable.

Therefore I believe that this is a falsifying of the truth on eBays part. Nothing better than a con.

There is no falsifying the truth as far as I can see!

Firstly there IS an Electronics category:

    Electronics
    Mobile phones
    Sound & vision
    Video games
    Computers & tablets

Secondly the code is almost certainly targetted - and won't work for you unless you were sent it. These Ebay codes usually don't work for others.

The only 'con' (rather a strong word in the circumstances) is you trying to use a code that you're probably not entitled to use.

Unless of course you were sent it, in which case you need to complain to Ebay.
  • If the code wasn't sent to you they can often rescind on it later

Don't waste your time - there are no generally available ebay or paypal vouchers.
