Following the global success of the first season of cult drama Prison Break, the complete season two will be available to own for the first time on DVD from Monday 20 August. For those who’ve already got hold of volume one of season two, which was released back in May, the hotly anticipated volume two finally goes on sale on the same day.
This must-have DVD picks up directly after the gripping season one finale sequence that saw wrongly accused prisoner Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) and his brother Michael Schofield (Wentworth Miller) stage a daring and elaborate escape, taking six of their fellow inmates with them. Now on the loose, and with the authorities in hot pursuit, the eight fugitives face a life threatening dash across America in search of a $5million jackpot that could prove the key to their eternal freedom.
Other popular characters set to return include Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies), Michael’s love interest, who faces an uncertain professional future in the aftermath of the break out, and the villainous Theodore ‘T Bag’ Bagwell (Robert Knepper), who embarks on a ruthless killing spree in an effort to avoid capture…
In the highly charged first series, Michael deliberately committed an armed robbery, intent on landing up in the same prison as brother Lincoln, who was awaiting a grim fate on death row. Structural engineer Michael was determined to prove Lincoln’s innocence, following Lincoln’s imprisonment for murdering the Vice President’s brother. Devising a complex and sophisticated plan that would ultimately lead to their dramatic break out, Michael tattooed the prison blueprint onto his body, in one of the first series’ most memorable and talked about moments.
The second series delivers more of the sensational stunts, adrenalin rushing action and contentious storylines that have made this highly-charged prison escape drama a favourite on both sides of the Atlantic. With conspiracies intensifying and the quest to locate America’s most wanted men heightening, lives will change forever as a series regular bows out in shocking style…but who will it be?
