Changing Jobs to working two days and two nights?

Hi guys,
Haven't posted here in ages, but have a dilemna and you guys are so knowledgeable!
I am in the process of being interviewed for a job that involves working on a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern, 12 hour days with the first two days being day shifts and the latter two being night shifts.
Does anyone have any experience of this? How hard is it? I am quite good at sleeping at odd times, but am not sure how working 12 hours AND through the night will effect me.
The job I am in now is great pay, but sales so has a limited shelf life looking at the long term. The new job is lower pay, but has more prospects to eventually earn what I am earning now and is more a career.
I'm prepping for the second interview, so can't wait, just want to make sure I have my eyes fully open as it is a job I would LOVE, I just want to be 100% aware!
Thank you for your help in advance!!

I've worked these shifts and had no problems, but I have always worked some form of shift work and seem to be able to adjust very easily between days and nights.0

Have you been doing it long? Does it take its toll?

Did them for about 5 years, now on a normal 3 shift pattern. Like I say I've never had a problem adjusting, but I have been doing shifts of one sort or another for 27 years  so it's the norm for me.0

My Dad worked a similar shift pattern his whole career. He never seemed to have a problem. I suspect you get used to it after a while.0 -
I've worked shifts most of my working life (nursing) however, doing nights and days in the same week DOES take its toll, I am now in a job where I work 8-6, still nursing but I am much less tired on my days off, less stressed and with much fewer ailments, the sickness rates amongst nursing staff that work shifts is extremely high compared to those that don't. The research and evidence done on shift workers also suggests that life expectancy is reduced and illness is higher.Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00
