Plevin and mortgage indemnity insurance charges

Does anyone have a considered opinion on this issue?
Will the recent ruling in Plevin v Paragon Personal Finance (failure to reveal commission payments) have an impact on mortgage indemnity insurance charges?
A few years ago MII used to be levied as a matter of course by the mortgage provider without and discussion or further information. You were told you had to take it or you couldn't get a mortgage. The fees could at times be considerable.
I have no idea whether it was the mortgage company or a third party who provided the insurance but if it were a third party who provided it, and the mortgage company received a commission for arranging the sale of it, would the provision of the mortgage be deemed unfair under the 1974 Consumer Credit Act?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
