I am not in HULL

ournev
I never thought I would see the day when MSE got lazy and let people down. I will explain.
For at least a year I have been trying to get Plusnet to accept that not all HU post codes are part of the Kingston Communications area.
I live in HORNSEA, a very nice seaside town in the East Riding of Yorkshire (not HULL) my postcode is regretfully HU18 and there are no cable companies operating here. We have a standard BT exchange and in all broadband respects are normal just like everyone else (except HULL).
The reason for the problem is purely and simply lazy programming. It is much easier to restrict all HU codes rather than do the correct thing and differentiate between them.
I have had a conversation with the "Customer Service" manager who accepts that it is wrong to refuse to accept me as a customer but is disinclined to do anything about it. I have asked my MP to try and sort it, he had a go but got the same answer as me. The customer service agents are not happy about it as it has an impact on their bonuses.
I am prompted to write this post because MSE has now joined the "lazy" club and perpetuates the myth that all HU codes are cabled by KC. (MSE Big Broadband Switch)
I would like to start a campaign to separate HORNSEA from HULL as far as broadband is concerned.
I currently have fttc broadband with Talktalk but don't like offshore call centres and the way the contract T&Cs are changed willy nilly.
After all this I don't expect anything to change but wait in the hopes that someone will surprise me.
Finally I hope this is the right place for this post (my first)

I doubt anything will change to be frank and presume you may be better of accepting this fact.0

You are right Stevie, I had forgotten it until the MSE offer.0

Post codes are a nightmare, Gainsborough in Lincolnshire is classed as Doncaster and villages closer to Doncaster are Retford!!!!
Complete farce.
I only realised this when Sky set the Sky box up to give Yorkshire local news!0
