Notice on drawdown of funds from lender

Hello
Just been told my my conveyancer that I could "possibly" be exchanging/completing on Friday.
They then said they had today requested drawdown of funds from lender
I read elsewhere that lenders require 5 day notice. Is that right or just relevant to some lenders?
