DD and Tesco iSaver mismatch

Just wondering if others have/had similar discrepancies. I have 3 iSavers and have set up various DDs (or think I have) to different accounts.

My Lloyds2Co-op (prepped to switch) account says it has 3 DDs but on the iSavers I only have 2 listed as scheduled in the "money in" sections.

Even stranger is my Lloyds2Nationwide which lists 4 DDs (2 from the same Tesco account). On Tesco "money in"s I only see 1 of those 2 listed (not sure which until the first pull) and another account has no "money in" listing to Lloyds2Nationwide.

I've noticed a glitch when setting up Tesco DDs in that even if you say "no, don't set up a DDI from this account to ALL my savings accounts" it still does so!...meaning I have 3 DDs on some current accounts where I only wanted 2.

So mine are a little 'messy' on my current accounts but I'm leaving well alone in case I break something!

There's another glitch you may find when switching current accounts...you finish up with the DDIs showing at Tesco with the correct sort code/account number but the wrong account name, ie it retains the account name of the account you've switched away from!

I had an pull account named "TSB". I switched to them last week & it then showed 2 accounts on Tesco, 1 as "TSB" (pointing to a closed Lloyds account) and my new TSB account but this was named after myself. I've just deleted the "TSB" and renamed the new one to "TSB". Hopefully it still pulls this month :| the "pay ins" section only showed the new account so should be fine

It might get more awkward with the upcoming switches though as some are scheduled for the same day & they might both want to name them the same :f

I've been having fun and games with Tesco DDs.

I have/had 8 Saver accounts and when I set up two direct debits with another bank Tesco set up a DD for all 8. I already had 2 DD set up and wanted to create 2 more on different Tesco accounts. I then pruned the accounts on the external bank leaving the 2 DD I had wanted.

However Tesco deleted the two DD I had wanted left and hadn't deleted. The reason can only be that Tesco recognises the account number not the unique DD reference that other banks use and Tesco 'sometimes' does.

So I had to set up two more replacement DDs. In fact I'm getting confused writing this but be wary of Tesco carrying out your instructions in the way you 'think' they will!

Another thing I did was amend a DD from paying 'until further notice' to one offs but having taken the first one off the DD was deleted on the Tesco site! It should have remained to be reactivated as and when I chose.

Very difficult to prune anything out of Tesco without causing problems, unintended deletions etc. take nothing for granted!

I'm in a similar position, in that DDs to Tesco from a Lloyds account switched to Yorkshire Bank are being taken, not from the 'switchee' :p account, but from another account with Yorkshire Bank

Like you, I'm not asking any questions though ;)

I've just changed those account names to something which makes sense to me (most of the time) :p

Glad it's not just me. I too am having fun and games with Tesco DDs on my Lloyds account.

They attempted one that had lapsed because I hadn't called on it in the past 13 months (I tried to put it into action because I cancelled a CC I had on there so needed the second DD), and then when that was rejected they cancelled the other one that has been going for the last 18 months...
