    Really, it's not that far with a sing-song and a coach ;) (I used to go out with someone from Middlesbrough, and I lived in South East London). As above - definitely sort out a coach - or maybe a couple of smaller coaches/minibuses and stagger the times of departure as some will want to leave earlier than others, and it may be worth paying for (or at least offering to pay for) hotel rooms for those essential guests (family!).
