Building Survey query

Hi, we need to carry out a full building survey as part of our mortgage offer. Can anyone recommend a website to book with?
Has anyone ever used ukhomesurvey.co.uk? Any feedback would be great. Thank you!

It say's it's subject to a full structural survey to identify any possible subsidence (there is a large tree in the garden).0

Is it a normal brick construction house?
There are reviews on reallymoving.com for surveyors but it's a 'paid for' listing service. People pay to appear on your search results, so not completely independant like you would want.
Also look on Yell, sometimes people post reviews on there.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
A structural survey (concerning the building structure including possible subsidence) is not a full building survey (full report on everything including electrics, heating, plumbing, roof).
Be careful what you are requesting.
If you are buying ask the vendor to pay for the structural survey.I am a Mortgage Broker

This is interesting. So is it the norm for the seller to pay for a structural survey if the HBR throws up some issues? Where would that leave the buyer if it turned out there were problems down the line but they weren't covered in the structural survey?0 -
Use the RICS website to find a surveyor that specialises in what you require.
