My storey so far

Got divorced and screwed over by ex's lying solicitor took all of joint debt then they lied some more getting me more debt.
Couldn't enter into an IVA debt too high so had to go down bankrupcy route and was declared bankrupt early this year.
The official Receiver dept were absolutly outstanding after a few phone calls I got to keep my car (they even said i'd overvalued it). Because I only had 18 months of my present contract left and at the end of it I'd be unemployed and homeless they said I couldn't enter into an IPA contract and the bottom line was all my money is mine.
Yes I'm still waiting for the bubble to burst, but they're applying for my early discharge as I'm not paying any money back.
I know some people have had it alot harder than that but hopefuly this could help someone.

  • It sounds like Br has been the best thing for you Paul.
I also have found the Or and court clerks to be great, really great. Still waiting for my OR interview and the 'dust' to settle, but hopefully things will be better for me soon.
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(
