Ok, time to kill this off once and for all

Hey peeps, have just been reading through the roll call of DF achievers and it made me angry and annoyed, basically that I cant sign that yet.

recap of events.

Last year i paid off around 9K of debt, my total debt at around the turn of the year was 3K, but had some money owed, and was just about to start my own little business, unfortunately things didn't pan out the way they should have, I lost direction in a way.

To account for lack of income over 3 months I accumulated 5 more grand of debt thanks to increasing my loan, and spent on a few useful things, but also on bills and going out.

I don't think the light bulb ever dimmed, I think overconfident about success, meant I was "looser" with money than i have been in a while.

I then gained a contract so I headed off back to work for 3 months, living away from home, and having a break to clear my head in honesty.

At this point debt freedom wasnt exactly my main priority.

So once that contract ended it was 2 months before my latest one, and basically frittered away the money thanks to a GF who doesnt exactly contribute financially (a great frustration for me lol).

Anyways in the last few weeks I have been picking it up again, 02 are the first victim, my negotiating skills are much improved and also im quoting the law at them, the service agents don't stand a chance lol

Also revisiting tapes i have listened too and the occasional posting on here, mean im starting to get the old groove back.

So, with my contract, 6 months (or 9 depending how it goes) earning me 14-1600 a month, my outgoings could be as little as 150pm if i go back to my 2006 ways, i think i may come close to finishing this off once and for all.

SOA
Outgoings

Travel 80per month
Internet 30 quid (zen net, best available, not compromising on this, clean connection, joy)
phone - need a new contract now, will find best either cash back or may go for redemption deals
235 loan repayment

debt
loan 7K

Income should be about 1400 a month, (reverts to 1600 every 3 months (5 week month - contracting))

So, here we go again

Thanks for the replies, im ashamed to admit im really lucky in that i only have those expenditures as i live with a relation (who refuses money), so i do lots of things around the house etc.

I dont think as much veering off track as such, as i know i am going to be debt free, but i think it became less of a priority or more of a case of make more money to use to pay off the debt.

Also I enjoyed setting up the business, which isnt dead, more on hold while i now have my priorities set.
