    Oh Debt Doctor, that response is rubbish! I know they have template paragraphs they can use but jeez!!

    A little compassion and common sense goes a long way! No point working as a complaint handler without these traits.

    i still have copies of the thank you letters i received from customers. Even when they didn't get the response they wanted but appreciated that I had done everything I possibly could for them.

    I agree with what you say re FOS though, I needed to go through them a few years ago and they refused to get Halifax to comply their own T&Cs, the Banking Code and the FOS rules. It does depend on which person gets the complaint to handle as to how good the response will be.
