B/F deduction on payslip???

Hi
I've just gone back to work after taking unpaid leave, I get paid 4 weekly & have just received my first payslip, on the decuctions part it says B/F £57.82 - what does this mean?

    brought forward?

Did agreement to take your unpaid leave coincide nicely with the date payroll was submitted / run?

How long were you on unpaid leave for?

What I'm wondering - but I don't know - is whether you were paid too much in your last salary before starting the unpaid leave, so they're taking it off now.

But best best is to phone and ask tomorrow.
