Of the 6 that snapped the only one remaining is the front one as the rest were baby teeth, I was only 7 or 8 when it happened.

The tooth with the crown is alive, they didn't fill in the root or do any root canal. It has some sort of filler and the veneer on top, from what I understand the veneer is porcelain. When I had it replaced last year I was getting pain when eating cold things and the dentist said that was a sure sign that the tooth was alive, the sensitivity died down after a few days.

I had my appointment today and the other dentist said that they couldn't do braces for me but I could definitely have them from a proper orthodontist. The surgery does 6 month smile and he said that the first dentist probably thought I wanted that and I wouldn't be suitable as that's just for front teeth and mine need a good bit of shifting back.

So I've just to make an appointment with a private orthodontist - he said I'm definitely not an NHS candidate but I didn't think I was anyway.
