Make Shaving Cartridges Last Longer

I have no idea how I discovered it but the other night I was just playing about on the web when I came across an article on how to make your shaving cartridge last longer!
At that time the phone rang so I thought no more about it then tonight I thought I'd go back and have another look, well to be honest to see if I could make them last longer and save quite a few pound at the same time
Anyway I'll share with you the ideas I thought interesting:
Interesting suggestions I wonder if they work? I think I'm going to try steeping the place in olive oil and honeing it on the inside of my arm

Anyway I'll share with you the ideas I thought interesting:
- Keep the blade sharp by pushing it up against a piece of denim or the inside of your lower arm!!
- Keep the razor dry. Pat it dry don't rub and a nice gentle blow to get rid of any remaining moisture
- A follow on from that idea was to steep the cartridge in olive oil after you've shaved or move it out of the damp environment of the bathroom. The reasoning been that damp causes oxidation but if you keep it dry it or steep it in oil then this won't happen as quickly
- Then of course you could always buy cheaper blades and not worry so much as to how much they cost

Olive oil and drying are protection against rust, and in my experience the blades don't rust - they clog and go blunt. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Anything that makes Mr LW's blades last a bit longer is welcome....
and a beard is NOT an option!:pIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I bought OH one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CWCW8TA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s02. He's very fussy but reckons it's brilliant. Blades last about 3 times as long. IIRC I only paid about a tenner for it - there are cheaper ones available that might be worth a go.0
