Loan or a Credit card

Hi All,

We have just brought our 2nd house which admittedly need more work than we originally planned.

We brought it with a 10% deposit with a fixed interest rate for 2 years.
We need to do some work to the house ( about £5000's worth)

My question is a credit card better than a loan?

We would want to pay back the money within 12months which is comfortably do able.

I have been looking online at 0% credit cards but I'm not sure how much money I would be entitled to.

Loans I'm sure I could get a 12month loan but i would be looking at 3-4%.

Has anyone else done something similar?
Any advice would be great and much appreciated.

Thanks
