Retweeting Retweeters?

Can anyone tell me if this still gives an entry?
I tend to follow a handful of active compers and retweet their retweets of comps. Another comper messaged me back to say I wouldn't get an entry by retweeting through them. Is this true?
Should I be direct retweeting on the advertisers page? I do this often but most time I retweet other compers. Any advise appreciated.

There was a similar thread about this not long ago (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/68832045#Comment_68832045), i'll just quote what i said there:Yeah if you retweet a companies original tweet (ie one they created) from my timeline for instance, it would count (although this does annoy some users) but if you were to retweet a manual retweet (eg one that has my face next to it) then that doesnt count as its my own tweet you are retweeting.
Best bet is to go to the companies page and retweet from there0 -
Its a bit of an urban myth from when twitter comps first started really as nobody knew how it worked. You still get your entry if someone retweets your retweet. I say to people who follow me its ok to retweet my tweets as long as they aren't manual retweets which usually start RT and look different anyway. As they won't get an entry for it and I get a notification xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Also depends how the comp provider is checking for entries. They may just search for a particular hashtag that they have used. Any tweet, no matter of origin or method, using that hashtag will count.0

When I first began comping and was relatively new to twitter a fellow comper told me that retweeting her tweet that she retweeted directly from the company would disqualify us both. Is there any truth in that? I couldn't see how but have never done it since just in case, she went berserk!0

I have people who follow my twitter account, I don't mind if they re tweet a few - say less than ten - but once they go into double figures in the space of a minute and seem to be dogging my heels they tend to get blocked for a couple of hours because they creep me out..
I always go back and unblock them because blocking always strikes me as a bit silly on twitter where you can never do it really effectively - another page or browser where you're not logged into your own twitter account and you can check out anyones' feed whether they have you blocked or not.
Try Ninjawin for some twitter comps to enter easily free of charge.
(No it's not my site)0 -
I personally find it rude to trawl someones Twitter page and go through RTing all the comps they have. It feels like stalking and the constant notifications is annoying. Just my opinion.A closed mouth gathers no feet.0

If you go into settings you can turn those notifications off.0
