Express win or is it?

Hi everyone i need your help again. Today whilst driving i recieved a call to say i had won a holiday to Tenerife I let my daughter answer the call so when she said it was about a competition i pulled over. The lady told me i had won a weeks holiday to tenerife and as i was driving she would contact me tomorrow. I asked her what company it was and she said it was from a comp i had entered in the Express and that i should have had an e-mail. Anyway i raced home only to find no e-mail and cant find the holiday on their website.How can i find out now im thinking it might be a timeshare con? I have got the telephone number she rang me on how do i google it to see who it belongs to?Does anyone know or can anyone help me to find out. Thanks

well done if it is a win. See what the woman says tomorrow - if she rings back. But if she is saying its from the express then its probably alright. The only comp I could find for Tenerife and the express is this one which ended a couple of months since but there are quite a few others fior tenerife through other websites

Thanks HJB she told me it was for a weeks holiday including flights and half board accomodation. I was so flustered i forget to ask even where about it was in Tenerife. Whilst im on can you tell me what does OP stand for i have noticed it in other peoples threads an wondered what it meant. Forgive my ignorance im new. Thanks again

Oh thanks. I have only been entering since july so dont think it was the one you have shown. I will just have to wait till tomorrow.

There was an Express on I posted to Tel Aviv (which sounds a bit like Tenerife I suppose :rotfl:) could that have been it?

there was one posted by Tyrannical in June im not sure if its that one but it doesnt give any details just says holiday to tenerife. It seems a long time before they tell you i thought they would have told you about a week after the closing date but i will let you all know tomorrow. Thanks

ok guys she did call me back and told me it was from a competition in the Express from the 22nd July but i cant find it. I have not recieved anything from Express now she tells me her company is called Petchey Travel Shop and the prize is flights/airport transfers and half board accomadation. Sounds great but the place were we would be staying is called Club Le Mar but they have building work going on and so we can stay at Royal Park Albatross. Having looked on the internet these are both timeshare complexes although she said we didnt have to pay anything at all to go. I am reluctant to go if we are going to be bombarded with hard sell time share salesmen. Would the Express send people to a time share resort? I would really appreciate your advice as she is calling me back to get my dates of travel.

I have rung the Express to find out if i have won anything and guess what i have won the tenerife holiday so YIPPEEEE. Although the hotel looks like a time share complex they have assured me that we wont be pestered and dont have to pay for anything. I just need to find someone to look after the kids!!I am going to treat my mum. Thanks hjb it looks like it was the comp you shown posted by Rita Daily so thanks to all of you. Also theyve told me it is for a week not 5 days and not in the hotel mentioned in the paper but its a free holiday and i cant believe my luck. Once again Thanks.
