Are they any good though? Buying something like a bike site unseen seems a bit risky.

there are normally reviews on the website. decathlon are well thought of on the bike forums.

They have stores in the U.K if you want to go see a bike. For the money they are good and generally well thought of.
You have to remember if you are spending £200 on a bike which basically is very very cheap you are not going to get a £1000 bike.
