Saw on the other thread it's your birthday... so HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :T

ps have you tried Clarks shoes - you probably have, but their discount place (at McArthur Glen) is good, I got a pair of smart-ish leather trainer-type things for £15 about 3 years ago which are still going strong (got them on today in fact as I have to do quite a lot of standing up later!) Also TK Maxx sometimes have Hush Puppies cheaper than normal.

    Have a lovely day x

so I need a bit of a regular kick up the backside to motivate me and keep on keeping to the plan

Oh dear so much for the regular posting... :o . Its been a crazy week!! Somehow I've managed to spend a fortune this week but almost all within my various budgets :j Only my weekly Moozie/Pap challenge was over (by £12:o ). Not sure I'll have too much left over this month though

I had a lovely birthday (thanks for the posts!!) Very chilled and rather to much jewellery... hence the overspend :rotfl:

Was back at work on Tuesday and it has been a busy week but I actually have been feeling like myself a bit more which is good. I also managed to see one of my friends I don't get to see very often and went to a really random comedy thing on the fringe... very odd  Oh well!!

Got another letter re my BoS complaint.. apparently they need another 4 weeks to investigate further  How long does it take to say they made a mistake and sort it out... I'm flippin well asking them for compensation now...

I also forgot to cancel my equifax and mycallcredit free for a month thing so now have to find the money for that too...

    Ok rant over... sorry :o

Off to try and make sense of SS's email thing.

I may be trying to show my grandmother how to suck eggs but have you checked that you can over pay on the loan. I ask because mine is front loaded so the full interest was added when the loan was taken out. I have been advised by the bank to save any extra money earmarked to pay off the loan in a seperate account and when the amount I have saved is the same amount that is left to pay on the loan then to pay it off in full. The interest due will be adjusted accordingly. I hope this makes sense.

    Hi Ches

I'm able to overpay by £100 a month with my loan and the interest is calculated daily so this will reduce what I pay overall. I wanted to make sure I could overpay if I could so I made sure of this when I got this loan.

I thought they couldn't frontload interest anymore on loans taken out recently?? I guess if this is an older loan it may well be true for you?

no its a new one of only a few months old taken out for home improvements to sell house. Told bank at the time I would pay it off in full when house sold so wasn't worried then about how the interest was applied. Trouble is the house move has been put on hold for family reasons so I have to save to pay it off.

Just a thought I wouldn't sell your pigsback vouchers. Either give them as prezzies or ask in the office or your friends if anyone will swap them for cash. I use mine to get 3 for 2 on stuff like shampoo/toothpaste/showergel, I have even topped up my mobile as I'm on PAYG
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)
