How long is too long ?

Hi,

I recently had a offer accepted on house 4th July, I've booked survey already.BUt still have submitted full application to lender as I'm waiting for my sa302 from hmrc who said it could take upto 2 weeks to arrive.
Really worried sale will fall through.,,

Just wanted to get an idea of others experiences n how long the whole process took for them when buying a house??

Any help/ advise given I would really appreciate- :)

    1. Some lenders accept SA302s downloaded online - available if you submit your tax returns online.

    2. Lenders are now commonly also asking for accompanying tax summaries. If you did not order them at the same time of your SA302s you may have further delays.

    3. Why arrange your own valuation when the Lenders satisfactory valuation is the key need for mortgage?

    4. It is not uncommon for buyers to take 3 or 4 weeks to submit a mortgage offer after the purchase has been agreed. These buyers are normally under pressure from the vendor and telling everyone in the mortgage application chain they are 'too slow' by week 5 or 6.

I'm in a similar position. Offer accepted 2 weeks ago and just waiting on Sa302 forms to submit full application. I rang hmrc on Tuesday to request them and they arrived in the post this morning. 👍

Is the chain fully formed? If not, you shouldn't be spending money on anything.

Your broker and your solicitor have nothing to do with survey, so do you mean searches?
