Mortgages on Affordability

Can anyone reccomend a mortgage provider that will make decisions more on affordability then the standard income multiples?

Ive tried the online calculators for on all the websites but they cant get to what we need to bank other then Nationwide and maybe Santander.

Im good with money (tight!) no other borrowings, both been in the same jobs for 12&18 years and Ive no intention of borrowing more then I can afford and could still comfortably afford the repayments at 6-7% so find it fustrating that they wont lend what I need!

If anyone has an ideas Id be grateful to hear them,

Thanks

Lenders no longer use income multiples. On the whole they use affordability, but they may have to adhere to the Treasury loan to income cap on higher loan to value lending.

If you want a more objective view of your options, speak to a broker. You may not be putting the right figures in the right boxes.
