Obtaining a mortgage

Hi there, my partner and I currently reside in my partners brothers house (we rent from him) and would like to buy it next June. The house is 120k, we have 25-30k deposit and earn £50k pa between us. My partner has excellent credit but I have 4x defaults that will be 5 years old next June. Apart from that I have had no further adverse credit. Will it be difficult to obtain a mortgage?

It will be difficult with the pickiest lenders at the keenest rates.

You should have a couple of high street options open to you and a few non-high street specialists.
