Saved 1/3 on contents insurance

Just wanted to say I managed to save my boyfriend £60 off his home contents insurance. This was partly through being overinsured - they'd set it up wrong, cancelling bit we didn't need - accidental damage - nothing that valuable and we'd have to pay excess anyway and would damage no claims and shopping around.
Just goes to show - read the small print and shop around.
Sadly I also managed to spend £84 in one day - ouch it did include £33 on osteopath - backs been bad for 5 weeks so money well spent, £6 on bus/train tickets (grrr), £7 on lunch with a friend I had not seen for months and months, £15 on a wedding present for a friends wedding and £24 on 2 t-shirts - I know, I know but I haven't bought any clothes for months and months and months now and needed a change.
