AXA life insurance complaints

Sadly my mother passed away in 2012 and I claimed her policy off AXA life insurance. I got a measly couple of hundred 221 pounds to be precise. However when I looked at my mothers bank statements she'd been paying around 80 pounds a month on previouslife insurance policies to them for years. When I questioned them about this they said they were closed and not relevant and only gave money to me from the recent policy payment which had been less than two years. My mother was a pensioner and I know she wouldnt have paid money to a life policy for nothing. I'm convinced they misold her new policies not explaining that the previous policy would be made void. I haven't been able to deal with this till now as I have been very ill. Can anyone help me? Thanks

Have you asked Axa what these £80pm polices were? They might have been savings type policies which matured or were surrendered. Not sure how you've managed to convince yourself of a miss sale without this information plus there is a good chance she bought the policy that did pay out from a mailshot or a magazine advert rather than someone from Axa selling it to her. Best to get all the facts before putting in any sort of complaint or you just end up looking a bit silly.

    How were they mis-sold?
