Changing mortgage deal if made redundant

I am working but my partner has been made redundant. Our 2 yr fixed deal with nationwide has come to an end. I want to get a new product as can get a lower rate but am not sure if you can do this now our circumstances have changed? Can they take our mortgage away? Will the fact she is unemployed mean they won't lend to us or let us get a new product? or are we safe as we already have the mortgage? Is it best not to contact them at all?

They don't ask any questions about affordability if you're just changing products providing you're not asking to borrow more.
It can all be done online in a matter of minutes.0 -
If you want to stay with the current lender, ask about their customer retention products. This will avoid the affordability and credit checks. It's not a remortgage unless you are moving to another lender or looking to borrow more from your current one.0
