No longer exists. You have to download a New Starter Checklist from the HMRC website, fill it in online, and then print it, sign it and hand it in. SO much easier than the employer holding stocks of a paper form - NOT!Prothet_of_Doom wrote: »P............................................46 to new employer. :jSignature removed for peace of mind0 -

My understanding was that downloading it yourself is only a fallback if the employer isn't geared up to ask the right questions when you start (and if they aren't, what are the chances they will get it right from the NSC anyway?). Caveat: I haven't done this myself.0 -
Well, my payroll provider asks me to get this downloaded, filled in, printed, signed, scanned and emailed to them. I guess it's their way of asking the right questions! My understanding was that downloading it yourself is only a fallback if the employer isn't geared up to ask the right questions when you start (and if they aren't, what are the chances they will get it right from the NSC anyway?). I just preferred it when there was a paper form I could send out to people before they arrived.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Started a new job last week and the employer handed me a new starter form from HMRC to fill-in. It was exactley the same as the P46 I have filled-in many times before.
So, same form, new name.Never Knowingly Understood.
