golf membership

hi all
I am just looking for some help about a golf membership which I have had. I took out a 3 year membership which I thought was up in august, when I contacted the company they told me I was currently coming to the end of my 4th year. ( didn't realise id been playing that long). The problem is that they are saying because I/they let it roll over I am now tied into another 3 year deal. the only time I signed anything for a deal was right at the beginning no renewals or anything else. I was just wondering if anyone could help me out
