  • all good valid points but doesn't help with the doggy doo problem though.

I think you already know the solution. Hence your previous posts on digging holes and creating infinite free energy.

All dog poo should be collected and transferred to a big hole you have created. Like a compost heap, this will get warmer and warmer allowing you to collect all the methane coming up to drive extra turbines.

[But if you persue this route, please leave me enough dog poo to continue shoving loads of it through the letterboxes of Fiona Bruce, Diane Abott and Katie Hopkins.]

    Not all dogs.

Some dogs have gainful employment. Drug sniffer dogs, cadaver dogs, guard dogs, sheep dogs, and guide dogs come to mind. And beagles. Both as subjects for drug testing and for chasing things.

Indeed you could argue that dogs in general provide an entertainment service, and whilst you might be able to categorise them as "pure consumers" you could say the same thing about actors, singers, TV presenters ....

And you don't have to pay them pensions and they are not a burden on the NHS.
I thought we were talking about pets here. Obviously a working dog brings economic benefits.

I agree that there might be health benefits in certain circumstances for pet ownership. Perhaps they could be available on prescription?

As for tv presenters etc, I also advocate a similar quota system.

I preferred the idea where we just shoot all the people.

    That's a damn good idea.:T

No such qualification was made in the OP.

I was thinking more on the lines that someone who choses to spend their money on a dog, purely for the entertainment value it provides (in terms of chasing a stick in a park, or whatever) should be viewed in the same light as someone who choses to spend their money on a PS4.

No mercy should be shown to TV presenters.

But you don't need to feed your PS4 meat, and it doesn't produce sh*t (and methane) which needs disposing of, or cover your furniture in hair, or make your house stink.
