I can't log out

I logged in 4 days ago with no problem. Been trying everyday to log out but nothing happens.

Not necessarily.

Their session could have just expired with no activity for 40 mins (default session timeout), and if they have selected "remember me" on the original login the next time they come on they would be auto-logged in again.

I suspect that is what may be happening when they say they can't log out? It would appear that way as you would seem to be always logged in.

They would need to either physically log out which would clear the password hash and session cookies, or manually clear those cookies which would prevent automatically logging in again on next visit.

If you are doing that but you are still not being logged out, you may need to manually clear cookies for this site.

I appear to have logged out successfully but when I visit again i'm still logged in.

This doesn't happen all the time, but I would say most of the time.

And yes, I log in and out manually and don't have it set to automatic.
